World Book Fair Theme
The theme of the nine-day 'Mahakumbh' of literature will be 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. The special thing is that after two years, readers will get the opportunity to buy their favourite books. The fair will be held at the newly constructed hall number 2, 3, 4 and 5 of Pragati Maidan.
History of Delhi Book Fair
The Delhi Book Fair began after the remarkable success of the Kolkata Book Fair. From March 18 to April 4, 1972, Delhi provided the stage for the world's first book exhibition. At that time, The President of India VV Giri had successfully hosted this book expo. ITPO (India Trade Promotion Organisation) and NBT (The National Book Trust) work together to organize this spectacular event every year in Delhi. Many students, librarians, teachers, scholars, intellectuals, writers and book enthusiasts enthusiastically look forward to this fair so that they can network with the world's most talented authors and connect their own private libraries.
