According to the RTE act 2009, any teacher in India must have done a training course from a recognized college.
The minimum period of the B.Ed. course duration is two years, and the maximum period is five years.
IGNOU B.Ed course Eligibility criteria
IGNOU B.Ed. eligibility criteria are
At least 50% marks scored in bachelor degree or master degree in Arts/Science/Commerce or B.E. or technology specialization in Maths and science must have 55% score.
Trained in-service only can apply for this course. Trained in-service accounts to a teacher who is currently working in a school after completing NCTE recognized face-to-face teacher education program.
IGNOU B.Ed Programme
IGNOU never fails to provide the necessary study material, both radio and video material to its aspirants.
Assignment:
Assignments play a major role in this program. Your learning process will be evaluated by IGNOU only using the assignments. So, students must complete and submit the assignment within the deadline at their study center.
The university will calculate the PCP i.e. personal contact program on Saturdays and Sundays in the study center.
IGNOU B.Ed exam pattern
The university conducts the B.Ed. theory exam in December for January session candidates, and the practical exams are conducted via workshops and internship programs in the study centers.
So, the final score consists of both theory and practical exam marks. The students must score at least a D grade in each course to earn a degree.

As already mentioned the program period is min. of 2 years and max 5 years. This program consists of both theory and practical parts. The practical part consists of EPC, workshop, and internship. The internship is given more importance in the B.Ed. program.
