Mental health is a vital component of the total health of an individual because our entire thought process takes place in mind, ideas originate in mind and all kinds of directions are issued from mind which guide, shape and regulate communication, conduct and behavior and determine personal and social functioning as well as adjustment (Bhargava and Raina, 2007). Good health depends on the state of both mind and body. Health generally means sound condition, or well-being, or freedom from disease. Mental health, therefore, may refer to a sound mental condition or a state of psychological well-being or freedom from mental diseases.
