Performance appraisal is the strength of performance management, which in turn affects the organizational performance. It helps to identify and overcome the problems faced by the employees on his/her work (Mackey and Johnson, 2000:3). Although it has many benefits for the organization, Nurse (2005:1179) states that performance appraisal have the equal probability of having a bad impact on the organization as well as on employee performance. According to Mackey and Johnson (2000:3), where the performance appraisal improves the work performance and employee satisfaction, it can also demotivate employees and leaves a bad impression on the good employees.
