INTRODUCTION
The IGNOU international division offers selected courses to FRSIs (through Regional Centres in India) and to Overseas Students (through Overseas Study Centres of the University). The international division has expanded its academic courses and different regional centers in various parts of South Asia, the Middle East and African nations.
IGNOU offers around 60 academic programs to its overseas / FSRI students. Currently, IGNOU offers its study courses in the U.A.E (Sharjah), Kuwait, Kingdom of Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Sultanate of Oman among the Gulf countries. Sri Lanka and Nepal, are among the SAARC countries and Ethiopia, Kenya and Ivory Coast in African countries.
Master of Computer Applications (MCA) is a two-year lengthy expert submit-graduate programme for applicants looking to develop into the world of computer utility development with the help of gaining knowledge of modern-day programming language. The programme is a blend of both theoretical and realistic expertise. An MCA diploma endows students with the possibility to work with gear supposed to increase better and quicker applications.
The broad objective of the MCA programme is to prepare graduate students for productive careers in the software industry and academia by providing an outstanding environment for teaching and research in the core and emerging areas of the discipline. The Programme's thrust is on giving the students a thorough and sound background in theoretical and application-oriented courses relevant to the latest computer software development. The programme emphasizes the application of software technology to solve mathematical, computing, communications/networking and commercial problems.
This Master’s Degree Programme has been designed with a semester approach in mind. The first-year courses are aimed at theoretical knowledge and practical skills development in core computer science subjects. The second-year is more focused on advanced courses providing a conceptual framework and project work.
