INTRODUCTION
The Indira Gandhi National Open University has prolonged its outreach beyond the borders of the country. DTS OR Diploma in Tourism Studies is a Diploma degree conferred to students. Like any other college course, DTS is also a one-year course. With the educational session of July 2022, the IGNOU has adopted the Choice Based Credit System offered by using the University Grants Commission. The Choice-based Credit System, that’s on offer on the Diploma degree, offers adaptability to the students to examine the subjects/publications in their needs and pursuits.
The programme is aimed at familiarizing you with varied aspects of Tourism creating awareness about tourism,
imparting basic training in organizing Tourism services and opening career opportunities.
