Let's start with the IGNOU assignments. IGNOU assignments are very important as they weigh 30% of marks in your final exams. Also, if you don't submit the assignment on time or didn't do it properly, then you will not be allowed to write your final exams. So assignments play an important role.
Usually, students submit a hard copy of their assignments to their regional/study centre. But due to the pandemic situations, IGNOU has introduced the online method to submit the assignments.
Suppose you are submitting the assignment/synopsis through offline mode. In that case, the student must make sure that the details like title of the project report/internship/dissertation/fieldwork, program code, enrollment number, course code of the attached project, regional center code, mobile number, and email ID are correctly entered before you submit it.
Suppose you are submitting the assignment through online mode, then before submitting the assignments. In that case, students need their prescribed proforma to be digitally approved by the supervisor/ guide through Email before submission.
For online mode submission, students must write the assignment by following the guideline given on the IGNOU website.
To complete an academic course in IGNOU, you need to complete the assignments, practical, term-end/semester exams along with projects as per the requirements/instruction given for each course in a program.

Note: The documents mentioned here refers to the signed Proposal proforma, Synopsis and bio-data of the project guide, and signed originality certificate.
