How to Change IGNOU Subject/Course/Medium?

• The changes can be made only within 30 days of receiving the receipt of the first set of IGNOU study material.
• The candidates have to entreat this requisition for changing of subject to the concerned Regional Center.
• The extra fee of Rs. 300 per 2 or 4 credit courses or Rs. 600 per 6 or 8 credit courses is to be paid for Under Graduate Course.
• For the Master Degree course, the fee is Rs. 500 per 2 or 4 credit course and Rs. 1000 for 6 or 8 credit courses.
• Payment should be made through a demand draft payable at the place of IGNOU Regional Centre.

• For the Under Graduate Course, if a candidate wants to change course/program from BA to B.com/BTS/BSW or vice versa or B.com to BA/BTS/BSW or vice versa, it is permitted only within 30 days from last date of applying for admission.
• The candidate has to make a payment of Rs. 500 plus Rs. 300 per 2 or 4 credit courses while Rs. 600 per 6 or 8 credit courses.
• For the change of course from BA/B.com to BTS/BSW, there is a difference of fee that is Rs. 500 to be added to the fee stated above.
• No change is permitted from BA/B.com/BTS/BSW to B.Sc.
• For Master Degree Course, the change of program or course is only applicable in the first year of study within 30 days from the last date of applying for admission.
• The candidate has to pay the full course fee again, even if the fees have been paid before for the previous program or course.
• The candidate has to apply for the change in the program through the Regional Centre.
• Payment should be made by demand draft payable at the place of IGNOU Regional Centre.

• Change of medium is permitted within 30 days from receiving the receipt of first set of IGNOU study material.
• The candidate have to pay Rs. 300 plus Rs. 300 per 2 or 4 credit courses and Rs. 600 per 6 or 8 credit courses for Under Graduate Course.
• For Master Degree Course, the payable fee is Rs. 300 plus Rs. 500 per 2 or 4 credit courses and Rs. 1000 per 6 or 8 credit courses.
• The candidate has to make a request to the concerned Regional Centre only. Payment should be made by demand draft payable at the place of IGNOU Regional Centre.
