Description
The following skills are expected to emerge after completing BGDG-172 of IGNOU's Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Public Administration (BAPAH) program: Understand society's attitudes toward women. Identify the fundamental question that emerges from the deliberations within each category (law, media, work, health, etc.). Analyse its cultural and social implications. Sensitise society on gender issues through various ways and means. Topics included in BGDG–172 are gender in everyday life, masculinities, gender and sexualities, motherhood, family, marriage, gendering work, gender issues in work and labour market, disability, reproductive and rights, gender-based violence, sexual harassment at the workplace, and media, language, reading and visualising gender.
