IGNOU AHE-01 P Project – Solid Waste Management

Every organization functions within a series of forces and factors, which make - up for its environment. Environmental forces have traditionally been defined as those factors that are outside the control of the organization. But we believe that the environment is a set of all those factors that effect the functioning of an organization in one way or the other. The environment can be divided into three levels - macro, maso and micro. Be it an organization, industry or economy, one element or stigma that haunts the environment is 'wastage'.

Objectives

• In this report I have done the following:
• To understand wastage in general
• To study the Wastage scenario in the food processing industry
• To study the 'Waste - management' strategies in place and to give suggestions for 'waste - management'
• To study the Case - Study “Waste – management at Delhi”.
