Marriage is considered to be a sacred union of two individuals. It is often seen as a source of happiness, companionship and security. In India there is no greater event in a family than a wedding, evoking every possible social obligation, kinship bond, traditional value, impassioned sentiment, and economic resource (Heitzman).
