IGNOU MEVP-01 Project – Urban Environmental Problem of solid waste

Urban areas face a pressing environmental challenge in the form of improper solid waste management, leading to pollution, health hazards, and economic strain. To mitigate these issues, a multifaceted approach is vital. Public awareness campaigns encouraging waste reduction and recycling can significantly impact citizen behavior. Implementing strict waste segregation at the source, along with organized collection systems, is essential.

Objectives
