IGNOU MFNP-12 Project – FOOD ADVERTISEMENT ON FOOD HABITS OF SCHOOL GOING CHILDREN

Poor diets contribute to the rising global burden of overweight/obesity and associated comorbidities, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and cancers (Hruby& Hu, 2015). Worldwide, excess weight is a common problem irrespective of the Sustainable Development Index status, resulting in 2.8 million deaths annually (WHO, 2022).

Objectives

• To identify the popular television channels among 10-12 years old children.
• To find out the favourite food related television advertisement of the children.
• To evaluate the impact of food advertisement on food habits of the children
