IGNOU MMPP-01 Project – BHEL’s Financial Performance: Analyzing India’s PSU Landscape

The checking of financial performance in a business deserves much attention in carrying out finance function. It requires retrospective analysis of operating period for the purpose of evaluating the wisdom and efficiency of financial planning. Analysis of what has happened should be of great value in improving the standards, techniques and procedures function. There are various methods or techniques used in analyzing financial statements, such as comparative statements, schedule of changes in working capital, common size percentages, funds analysis, trend analysis and Ratio analysis.

Objectives

• To know about the financial performance of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) during the study period;
• To know the liquidity position of the Company in order to highlight the ability of the company to meet its obligations;
• To find out the profitability position of the Company;
• To find out the debt servicing capacity of the company
