IGNOU MMPP-01 (HM) Project – HRM Perception in WBSEDCL, Kolkata: Employee Perspective

Human beings are social beings and hardly ever live and work in isolation. They always plan, develop and manage their relations both consciously and unconsciously. The relations are the outcome of their actions and depend to a great extent upon their ability to manage our actions. From childhood each and every individual acquires knowledge and experience on understanding others and how to behave in each and every situation in life. Later they carry forward this learning and understanding in carrying and managing relations at their workplace. The whole context of Human Resource Management revolves around this core matter of managing relations at work place.

Objectives

• To examine the human resource management practices towards recruitment, selection, training and development in West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, Kolkata.
• To study the employees’ satisfaction with human resource management
• To offer suggestions for the quality of human resources management practices in West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, Kolkata.
