IGNOU MPCE-16 Project – Effect of Risk Taking Behaviour on Academic Achievement of Adolescents

A good understanding of adolescence in a social environment depends upon the information from many perspectives, which includes psychology, education, biology, and anthropology. Within all of the perspectives, only adolescence is seen as a period of transition between childhood and adulthood. It is the period of many transitions, which involves training, education, employment and unemployment, as well as transitions from one living circumstance to another.

Objectives

• Following objectives are formulated for the proposed study
• To determine the relationship between risk-taking behaviour and academic achievement of students of senior secondary schools.
• To find out the impact of the risk-taking behaviour on the academic achievement of students of senior secondary schools.
• To study the risk-taking behaviour of male and female students of senior secondary schools.
• To study the academic achievement of male and female students of senior secondary schools.
