IGNOU MPCE-16 Project – Occupational Stress among Male and Female Employees in Delhi: Study on Government and Public Organisations

Stress if quite inevitable in everybody’s life in such demanding market. Along with expectations from self, others from society and rising uncertainties the level of stress has increased a lot. According to Coleman (1936) modern age is called as age of “Anxiety and stress’’.Selye (1976) stress is defined “as a dynamic activity wherein an individual is confronted with an opportunity, constraint or demand".

Objectives

• The following objectives are formulated for the proposed study:
• To find and compare the Occupational Stress level among male and female employees in Delhi.
• To find and compare the Occupational stress among male and female employees in Government and Public Sector Organizations.
• To propose some measures to alleviate theoccupational stress levels of the male and female employees.
• To suggest suitable intervention strategy based on results obtained.
