PART B (Practical Exercises)

There are four exercises in this part. You have to attempt all the questions.

1. Visit a fair price shop and another regular retail shop in your locality and record the prices at which the following commodities are sold in these two shops (Remember the quality of commodity selected in these two shops should be the same). Comment on your observation. (Refer to Unit 3)

2. a) Visit your nearest Primary Health Centre / Mohalla Clinic and record the ante-natal and post-natal services provided to pregnant and lactating women under the ICDS scheme.
b) Visit any Anganwadi centre (under ICDS) near you and enlist the activities carried out and the beneficiaries availing the facilities.

3. Prepare a plan for a model kitchen garden. Give details of different fruits and vegetables which can be grown in the summer season. (Refer to Unit 2)

4. Collect three different samples ( packed and loose both ) of milk, turmeric, yellow dal and coffee powder and carry out simple tests to detect adulteration at home (Refer to DART Book (fssai.gov.in).

PART B (Practical Exercises)

There are four exercises in this part. You have to attempt all the questions.

1. Prepare food budget for your family for one month. (Refer to Unit-1 for guidance on preparing a food budget)

2. Visit an anganwadi centre functioning under ICDS programme in your city. Prepare a list of services provided in the centre. Collect information about different beneficiaries and the services provided to them in the given format.

3. Visit a fair price shop functioning under Public Distribution System in or around your locality/area. Identify the food items and the cost of items being sold at the fair price shop. Also identify the beneficiaries. Present your answer in a tabular form.

4. Visit your nearby market and identify different products of fishes and poultry sold in market. Also describe the characteristic features of the product.

7. क) भोजन की ग्रेडिंग का क्या महत्व है? फलों और सब्जियों को किस आधार पर श्रेणीकरण किया जाता है?
ख) खाद्य कानून क्या हैं? खाद्य सुरक्षा और मानक अधिनियम, 2006 के मुख्य उद्देश्यों की सूची बनाइए?

8. खाद्य मिलावट क्या है? भोजन में मौजूद मिलावटी तत्वों से होने वाले खतरों तथा उपभोक्ता को होने वाले आर्थिक नुकसान का वर्णन कीजिए ।

1. अपने इलाके में एक उचित मूल्य की दुकान और एक अन्य नियमित खुदरा दुकान पर जाएं और निम्नलिखित वस्तुएं के दाम की रिकॉर्ड करें (याद रखें कि इन दोनों दुकानों में चयनित वस्तु की गुणवत्ता समान होनी चाहिए)। अपने अवलोकन पर टिप्पणी करें. (इकाई 3 देखें)

2. क) अपने निकट एक प्राथमिक चिकित्सा केन्द्र या मोहल्ला क्लिनिक पर जाएं और आईसीडीएस योजना के तहत गर्भवती और स्तनपान कराने वाली महिलाओं को प्रदान की जाने वाली प्रसव पूर्व और प्रसवोत्तर सेवाओं को रिकॉर्ड करें।
ख) अपने आस-पास के किसी भी आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र (आईसीडीएस के तहत ) पर जाएं और वहाँ होने वाली गतिविधियों और सुविधाओं का लाभ उठाने वाले लाभार्थियों को सूचीबद्ध करें।

1. क) खाद्य बजट को परिभाषित करें। अपने परिवार के लिए खाद्य बजट तैयार करते समय ध्यान रखने योग्य बातों को सूचीबद्ध करें।
ख) सिंचाई और उर्वरकों का उपयोग खेत में उपजाये जाने वाले खाद्य पदार्थ (खाद्यान्न) को कैसे प्रभावति करता है?

2. बाजर के मूल्य, सरकार द्वारा निर्धारित मूल्य और प्राप्ति के मूल्य से आप क्या समझते हैं? खाद्य पदार्थो के लिये सरकार द्वारा दी जाने वाली आर्थिक सहायता में भारतीय खाद्य निगम की भूमिका का वर्णन कीजिए ।

भाग ख प्रयोगात्मक अभ्यास

इस भाग में चार अभ्यास है। सभी प्रश्नों का उत्तर दीजिये :

1. अपने परिवार के लिए एक महीने का खाद्य बजट तैयार करें। (खाद्य बजट तैयार करने के मार्गदर्शन के लिए इकाई-1 देखें) ।

2. अपने शहर में आईसीडीएस कार्यक्रम के तहत काम करने वाले आंगनवाड़ी केंद्र जाये। केंद्र में प्रदान की जाने वाली सेवाओं की सूची तैयार करें। दिए गए प्रारूप में विभिन्न लाभार्थियों और उन्हें प्रदान की जाने वाली सेवाओं के बारे में जानकारी एकत्र करें।

3. अपने इलाके / क्षेत्र में या उसके आसपास सार्वजनिक वितरण प्रणाली के तहत काम करने वाली उचित मूल्य की दुकान पर जाएं। उचित मूल्य की दुकान पर बेची जा रही खाद्य वस्तुओं और वस्तुओं की लागत की पहचान कीजिए। लाभार्थियों की पहचान भी करें। अपने उत्तर को सारणीबद्ध रूप में प्रस्तुत करें।

4. अपने आस-पास के बाजार जाएं और बाजार में बेची जाने वाली मछलियों और पोल्ट्री के विभिन्न उत्पादों की पहचान करें। उत्पाद की विशिष्ट विशेषताओं का भी वर्णन करें।
