He further said that here only Rs 5,000 is charged in the first year of graduation and along with this, they are also given the study material. The Vice Chancellor of IGNOU said that IGNOU is always ready to ensure that students get good and affordable education as well as convenience from home. At present, the reason for being given the status of the world's largest university is that at IGNOU, 35 lakh students take their education together, which is not the case in any university in the world. Students come from remote areas of the country.
In fact, due to IGNOU's method of education in India, students in remote areas of the country join IGNOU University and complete their graduation in the comfort of their homes. New courses are added to IGNOU every year, due to which students take admission.
