Description
BEGC–103 enhances the learner's understanding of Indian writings in English through analysis, summary, and discussions on style and characterization. Students pursuing this course also get an insight into the life and writings of the main contributors to the progress of Indian English literature. The writings covered in BEGC–103 include A Tiger for Malgudi, The Binding Vine, poetry by Sarojini Naidu, Nissim Ezekiel, A. K. Ramanujan, and Kamala Das, and short stories such as The Lost Child by Mukul Raj Anand, The Other Woman by Dina Mehta and "Swimming Lessons” by Rohinton Mistry.
