BEGC–105 The purpose of BEGC–105 is to provide a complete introduction and understanding of American literature in its many forms and dimensions. The first block informs students about American Drama with a play by Arthur Miller called All My Sons. The next block of the text deals with another equally exciting and significant piece of writing-The Scarlet Letter. This work of historical fiction was published in 1850, written by Nathaniel Hawthorne.
