BHIC–107, a semester-III course, covers Indian history spanning the period of 1206 to 1550. The curriculum of BHIC–107 includes interpretation of the Delhi Sultanate, the survey of sources, sultan, nobility and ulama, administrative structure, Deccan kingdoms, Vijayanagara, kingship and the Nayak system, new kingdoms in 15th century, land administration, agrarian classes, technology, society, urban economy, monetisation, inland and ocean trade, the Bhakti and Sufi tradition, religious ideas, and visual culture.
