Whereas, academic failure results in frustration, stress, inferiority complex, rejection, more number of suicides, dropping out of school or college, higher rates of unemployment, and antisocial behavior (Steinberg, Blinde & Chan, 1984; Gadwa & Griggs, 1985; Center for the Study of Social Policy, 1986; Ekstrom, Goertz, Pollack,& Rock,1986; Carnegie Council on Adolescent Development, 1989).

To study the relationship between academic stress and Self-efficacy among Secondary students.
To study the difference in male and female students on their academic stress.
To study the difference in male and female students on their Self-efficacy.
To study the difference male and female students on their emotional intelligence.
