Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) was established in 1985 through an Act of Parliament. It functions as a distance education provider known for its valuable education. They offer numerous courses with the best educational facilities that lead to the award of certificates, diplomas, and degrees. IGNOU offers a quality education that one can access from anywhere in the world. Graduates from IGNOU are eligible for both Government and private sector jobs, and are also employable for various UPSC, SSC, and banking exams.

Assignment records Submission and management System (ARSMS) is an online service for updating student assignment submission information and posting assignment marks. The system is highly protected with a password and can only be accessed through proper authentication. No candidate has access to it, only regional centers and study centers have granted the authentication.

1. To check the assignment Submission Status of Students
Program-wise or in General: This system helps to check the course-wise status of the Assignment. So it is easy to choose the desired course assignment.
It accepts Enrolment numbers of students of a region in which the user logged in. For example, a user logged in as 01 CHANDIGARH will be allowed to access only students of RC-Chandigarh.
The data of a student will be authenticated through the Centralized Address Database.
2. Assignment Marks posting
Programme-Course Wise Entry Only: It allows us to enter the marks obtained by the student in assignment course-wise only. So, it becomes quite easy to upload the marks of the students.
Marks posting will be allowed only after viewing assignment data.
Only those entries will be accessed whose submission status was recorded.
ARSMS has wide applications as users can view/download various reports/ available in the system. These help the users to get the full acknowledgment of the candidate.
View Assignment Data (Docket Wise): On this portal, one can easily view assignment data.
Status of the Assignment and Marks of a Student: ARSMS also help to check the current status of candidate assignment. One can easily track the process of assignment submission. To check the scored marks, ARSMS is the best and most efficient way.
View/Download Assignment Data (Text File): One can easily download assignments to refer to them for the future.
Download Assignment Data (MDB File): The download option is also available in MDB file format.
